Abstract

The connection of the pelvis with the adjacent areas of the musculoskeletal system, i.e. with the femurs and lumbar spine, is a key area for the position of the lower limbs and the alignment of the trunk in standing and walking. This is associated with the typical chains of malfunction, both in the proximodistal or distoproximal direction, as well as in the caudocranial or craniocaudal direction. These chains of malfunction are then reflected in specific clinical units.
