Abstract

We report prenatal ultrasound diagnosis of giant neck hemangioma at 30 + 1 weeks in a fetus resulting in the postnatal development of a Kasabach-Merritt syndrome. Ultrasound scan revealed a large anisoechoic mass occupying the whole neck, infiltrating the nasopharyngeal cavity, the tongue, the lower lip and the mandible.

Complex sonographic visualization with 2 D and 4 D was helpful in the process of parental counseling.
