Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and secondary antiphospholipid syndrome (aPLs II) in native sisters with reduced fertility.

Abstract

Objective: Pregnancies in women with SLE and secondary antiphospholipid syndrome  result in excessive fetal morbidity and mortality. We investigated separately two sisters with the same autoimmune disease and obstetrics complication. We refer retrospective analysis of both sisters suffered from systemic lupus erythematodes and repeated pregnancy losses.

Methods: We used gynecological, immunological, genetic and  endocrinological examination  and looked at the similar relationships between disease activities and severities.

Results: Older sister lost her pregnancy in twenty  weeks again, the second  dramatically delivered her daughter by Caesarean section in 31 weeks and 5 days.
